Hotjar
With these cookies, we can track which areas of our website you view and find interesting. No personal data is collected, but it enables us to improve our website. The collected data will be sent to Hotjar Ltd. based in Malta.
Facebook Pixel
We use a Facebook pixel to improve our postings and applications on Facebook - the pixel collects anonymous information about page views, requests and newsletter subscriptions. No personal data such as Facebook profile, e-mail addresses or names are transmitted to pressrelations. It finds a data transfer to Facebook Inc. (USA).
LinkedIn Pixel
We use a so-called LinkedIn Insight tag on our website to collect anonymous data on page views, enquiries and newsletter subscriptions. No personal data, e.g. LinkedIn profile, e-mail addresses or names are transmitted to pressrelations. Data is transferred to LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company.
Twitter Pixel
We use a so-called universal Twitter tag on our website to collect anonymous data about page views, requests and newsletter subscriptions. No personal data such as Twitter profile, e-mail addresses or names are transmitted to pressrelations. Data is transferred to Twitter Inc.

ContentDesk Terms of Use Agreement

Supplementary Terms of Use for the Use of ContentDesk

Effective from November 6, 2024

Insofar as additional terms of use for certain products, services, or actions by pressrelations GmbH (hereinafter “pressrelations”) apply alongside the pressrelations General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter „GTC“), these additional terms apply in conjunction with the General Terms and Conditions. This applies, for example, to specific terms of use for ContentDesk or other services. Together, these documents form the contractual agreement between the customer and pressrelations (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Parties”).

1 Introduction

  1. A legal relationship already exists between the parties and/or the parties intend to establish a legal relationship. This legal relationship may have taken any form or may take the form of a service contract.
  2. The use of the “ContentDesk” service (hereinafter referred to as “ContentDesk”) by pressrelations is governed by the following additional Terms of Use.
  3. The service is intended to optimize press and public relations work.
  4.  These additional Terms of Use shall define the use of ContentDesk, which has been developed for the creation and the distribution of messages to editorial offices and journalists of print and online media as well as news agencies. ContentDesk provides a press distribution list that is essential for public relations work, in particular for sending press releases, journalistically relevant announcements or invitations to press events.
  5. The processing of personal data by the Service Provider takes place exclusively on the basis of publicly accessible or professionally collected data for journalistic purposes in accordance with Art. 85 GDPR.
  6. The transmitted data shall be used for the purpose of using the product ContentDesk of pressrelations GmbH. These additional Terms of Use is subject to a separate contract governing the business relationship, which does not exceed the rights and obligations set forth in these Terms of Use. These additional Terms of Use exclusively determines the lawful and privacy-compliant use of the ContentDesk-Product.

2 Purpose of Use

  1. As stated in the introduction, the ContentDesk product is intended solely for press and public relations purposes. The principal purpose is primarily the specific distribution of relevant company-related information and/or official press-releases. The associated data processing procedures are based on the User's legally founded interest in carrying out its activities in a professional environment, which includes, in particular, the use of a press distribution list.
  2. The Service Provider, as technical provider, grants the User the right to use the ContentDesk product.
  3. The Service Provider has developed a PR management tool as a product. The product - ContentDesk - is an instrument to support the creation, integration of own distributors, optimization and distribution of content through various channels to optimize communication.
  4. The use is permitted only for the purposes specified in these additional Terms of Use.
  5. By using the Product, the User agrees to be bound by the terms of these additional Terms of Use.

3 Definitions

  1. Commencement Date refers to the date on which the provision and/or use of the product begins.
  2. User refers to any natural or legal person who utilizes the services of the ContentDesk product.
  3. Personal Data is to be understood as defined in Art. 4 No. 1 of the GDPR.

4 Personal Data

  1. The category of data subjects whose personal data is included in the product includes journalists or professional influencers on social networks. These are individuals whose personal data is necessary for the core of their professional activity.
  2. The following types of personal data are collected in the ContentDesk product:
    1. Last Name
    2. First Name
    3. Job title
    4. Main country of work activity
    5. Professional email address
    6. Professional languages
    7. Professional topics and focus or areas of interest
    8. Type of media
    9. Photo (if applicable)
    10. professional Website (if relevant)
    11. Social media accounts, if relevant (if relevant)
  3. As long as and to the extent that the transmitted information includes personal data, such data shall not be transmitted to the User for processing purposes other than those provided for in these additional Terms of Use.
  4. Should the User receive any personal data contained in the, the Parties shall ensure compliance with GDPR, in particular, but not limited to, entering into all necessary and binding agreements, such as an order processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, a joint responsibility agreement pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR, or any other agreement to the extent required by law or relevant.

5 Terms of Use

  1. The User hereby expressly agrees to use ContentDesk within the scope of its business activities to establish and maintain efficient communication channels with media players and press representatives.
  2. The User guarantee that the use of the product shall always be carried out in compliance with current law, including privacy legislation.
  3. In processing personal data, the User shall carefully balance the legitimate interests of the User against the rights and freedoms of the data subjects.
  4. Any use of the ContentDesk product for advertising purposes is strictly prohibited.
  5. The User must irrevocably delete the data immediately upon request by the journalists or professional influencers and based on the state of the technology.

6 Liability

  1. The User shall take full responsibility for any form of use of the product that occurs using the user´s access data.
  2. In the event of non-compliance with the obligations of these additional Terms of Use, the User shall be obligated to compensate the Service Provider for the damages resulting from such non-compliance, in addition to the legal claims directly resulting from these additional Terms of Use. This includes any material or immaterial damages, including the exercise of legitimate interests against third parties.
  3. The Service Provider excludes any liability for damages caused by incorrect (improper or erroneous) use of the Product.
  4. As User of the ContentDesk product, you act as an independent controller under the GDPR, as you alone decide on the processing of personal data.

7 Modification of Terms of Use

  1. pressrelations reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time.
  2. The customer will be informed of such changes in a timely manner. If the customer does not object to the changes within 30 days of receiving the change notification, the changes shall be considered accepted.
